Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at benpatkus@hotmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Run time to the fishing grounds and time to set up lines can be up to an hour each way depending on the time of year and lake conditions.

Every person 18 years and over requires a license as per the province of Ontario.  You will need to purchase your license prior to launch and have it on you.  There are some exceptions listed on the Ministry Website. For example free days. Check out the Ministry of Natural Resources www.ontario.ca

Yes, as long as the catch is in full compliance with the Ministry of Natural Resources guidelines.

** If catch limits of Walleye are achieved prior to the maximum charter duration, the charter may be concluded at the discretion of the captain.

June, July and August are the best months for targeting Walleye, Rainbow and Steelhead. The summer months are typically the most productive for numbers.

We only make promises we can keep! The fishing has been so good, and with over 90 million walleye in Lake Erie, catching your limit is very high.

If you happen to become sea sick while on a charter, it is up to you if you would like to return to the dock.  We will be more than happy to take you back to shore, but due to the limited number of days in the season, we cannot offer any refunds for having to return to the dock early. (Unless the captain calls the trip due to weather). Unfortunately, the weather is outside of our control and everyone has a unique threshold of tolerance.  Some people feel ill in 1-2 foot seas.

If parents feel that their children are ready and get will get enjoyment from the trip, then yes. It is big water and big equipment, so we really recommend over 9 years of age minimum. NOTE: 6 people is the MAX regardless if children or adults.

NO. Our charters are private, meaning it just our crew and your group.

YES! We are fully insured and registered through Transport Canada.

The captain will contact you at the email or phone number provided if a cancellation due to weather is required. Weather forecasts are ever changing. We can't control the weather but we do make our decisions with your safety first!  We want you to have a memorable trip, so providing you with a fun, enjoyable, and safe trip is what is most important to us!

  • Cancellations with 7 days or more notice can rebook to another available date or may be carried over to the next year. Refunds are at the captains discretion..
  • Cancellations with less than 7 days notice, but more than 24 hours notice, will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours or less, as well as "No Shows" are non-refundable.
  • All weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of the captain.
